I am a newly retired Professor from the State University of New York, living in Plattsburgh, N.Y. I have a doctorate in Audiology and Hearing Science from the Ohio State University and have served in several administrative and research positions at SUNY Plattsburgh since 1981. Now retired, I am looking to become engaged as a consultant (i.e., silent partner) with a financial firm, which is the basis of this letter.
While I do not hold a financial license, I offer this proposal on the basis of my success trading stocks for about 30 years. For many years, I served as a silent partner to Mr. Robert Lutz, a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant from Morrisonville, N.Y (RJ Lutz Associates) until his untimely death Feb, 2013.
Having learned from many mistakes, I employ both technical and fundamental analysis of companies, and the market overall, to help inform decisions. I realize that stock trading, while a science at some level, is also a unique art, requiring many years to develop. The combination of technical and fundamental, along with one’s intuition, have become the foundation of my trade decisions. These decisions are also tempered with an assessment of the quality of the company and its management, its stock price, and market conditions, i.e., many variables are carefully considered before a trade is made and which are tailored to one’s risk tolerance. In short, I utilize the same intense research skills applied in my professional work to stock analysis, which I enjoy.
With the above in mind, I am willing to offer my opinions on a trial basis at no charge to try gain your confidence. If satisfied with my work, consideration of restitution may be addressed in time. I would be willing to discuss the above in more detail at your convenience as appropriate.
