First, round of applause to the 5 star reviews here.... oh wait, those aren't reviews. That is the company making posts about moving and giving themselves 5 stars for operating the computer. Second, sell an organ on the black marke t before resorting to this. Two of us in my household had fallen behind due to parental deaths in the family and not being able to keep up on expenses with all that came with that. (Oh, and there was the time they applied a payment to the wrong account, refused to correct it, and proceeded to charges late fees on the account they didn't pay with the money it was intended for) So, we figured out getting a private loan for the amount I was shown to owe, plus what they were reporting to the credit company on the other accounts. But Julie argued that what they report to the credit company does not include any of their other fees and that that amount is not accurate or acceptable. We offered the local office $1,900 on a less than $2,300. They would not accept it without maintaining the current terms of paying $200 a month to them for what was left. Although we explained we could pay something, $200 in addition to paying the loan we needed to take to pay them the $1900 immediately would be unfeasible. Julie refused to even discuss the matter with corporate. So I called corporate, explained the situation and what we could do, and was told they would look into it and call back. Called back the next day, was told they couldn't find anything about my call the previous day, that management isn't in on Fridays, and that Patricia that I was working with was unavailable. Then I discovered that they filed paperwork for garnishment on me. The day I offered over 80% of what was owed up front. BEFORE I EVEN BROKE TERMS OF THE CURRENT ARRANGEMENT. AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T CALLED BACK. THEY GARNISHED ME BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T ACCEPT THE $1900 THEY REPORTED to credit agencies that month. Any business that has $1900 waved in front of their face and chooses to take the money through a humiliating garnishment instead shouldn't be in business. Apparently I should have just let my dad sit on ice at the crematorium indefinitely back in January rather than angering the greedy powers to be at Convienent Loans.
